Deep Tissue massage
A deep massage, with firmer pressure, to release built-up tension.
At the studio in Saint-Ouen, or at your home in Paris and Saint-Ouen.

The spirit of the treatment
It is for people who like firm pressure: back, shoulders and neck marked by posture, sport or stress.
Origin
Deep Tissue is a contemporary Western technique, derived from Swedish massage and developed during the 20th century. It works the deeper muscle layers with slow movements.
Benefits you may feel
Release of tense areas, a feeling of freer back and shoulders, deep relaxation.
How it unfolds
Slow, firm movements, done with the hands and, depending on the area, the forearms, constantly adapting to how you feel. Intense pressure is never the aim: tell me if it feels too strong. The massage is done with certified organic virgin oil, warmed before the treatment.

Good to know before you come
For people who like sustained pressure. Please tell me before the treatment about any pain, recent injury, medical follow-up or pregnancy. It is not recommended in case of phlebitis. Medical advice is recommended if you take blood thinners or have osteoporosis.
Recommended frequency
No set frequency is required. With sustained pressure, it is best to give the body time to recover between two sessions: the rhythm is chosen according to how you feel and how much you tolerate.
Frequently asked questions
How does Deep Tissue differ from a gentler massage?
Deep Tissue is a deeper massage, with slow, firm strokes done with the hands and, depending on the area, the forearms. It works the deeper muscle layers, often in the back, shoulders and neck. Californian massage, by contrast, favours long, flowing strokes at a gentle to moderate pressure. Both last one hour.
Who is this massage not suited to?
It is for people who like sustained pressure. It is not recommended in case of phlebitis, and medical advice is recommended if you take blood thinners or have osteoporosis. Please tell me before the treatment about any pain, recent injury, medical follow-up or pregnancy.
What does it feel like during and after the session?
The pressure is firm, but intense pressure is never the aim: tell me if it feels too strong and I will adapt. After the session, people generally feel deeply relaxed, with a sense of a freer back and shoulders. Some people may also feel a slight tenderness in the areas worked.
